Fit as a Fiddle

Fit as a Fiddle is a new programme designed to help older people to live more healthy‚ active and fulfilling lives.

The programme is funded through the Big Lottery Fund to deliver a range of courses to older people throughout the country in:

physical activity
healthy eating
healthy lifestyles

There are a wide range of projects which will be delivered at a national‚ regional and local level. A national training programme and educational resources will be designed to reach all older people and support the different agencies who work with them.

Key to the success and long term future of the programme will be the role of volunteers and specialist training is being developed to support them in this very important role.
